August happenings

It has been a nice weather for us this summer. Many days have been very sunny and warm. Sometimes it has been raining. One rainy day we made a big fire. We had a huge pile of branches from the trees we had cut down from our plot.The fire is eating branches very eagerly! It gets so hot that one can not be near.
It is nice that we have had help now for the work in the cottage. Together we have done much firewood for sauna and the house.In the evenings we enjoy sauna and swiming and nice dinner.Usually the men do the grilling and the ladies make the salad and potatoes or pasta. Now it is a blueberry-time so there has been nice cakes and other deserts made of berries.We still have srawberries and rasberries too and the garden berries start to be ready to be eaten.This year is a very good berry-year in the forests and gardens here in Finland.
