Matkasuunnitelmat maaliskuulta

Tällainen uutinen oli kerrottavana 31.3.2011:Paperisota on alkanut.Viisumia, työlupaa, oleskelulupaa ym varten on miehen todistuksia ja cv:tä käännätettävä englanniksi ja virallisesti oikeiksi todistettava. Minun vapaaehtoistyölleni ei todistuksia tarvita ja matkani ja siihen liittyvät luvat maksetaan itse. Tarkoituksemme on päästä työhön Tansanian kirkon sairaalaan Rotarien lääkäripankin kautta teemalla "ainakin kesät Suomessa". Nyt on syyskuu alkamassa ja edelleen odotetaan.

Tässä lainausta Rotarien sivuilta pieni pätkä: "RDBF on toiminut Tansaniassa vuodesta 2002 lähtien. Tällä hetkellä on meneillään Ulkoministeriön kehitysaputoimiston tukema kolmen vuoden projekti
vapaaehtoisten lääkäri- ja hammaslääkäripalveluiden järjestämiseksi Tansanian Evankelisluterilaisen kirkon omistamissa sairaaloissa.
Tavoitteena on, että Tansanian yhteistyösairaaloihin voidaan luoda uutta osaamista ja nostaa sairaaloiden lääketieteellistä suoritustasoa. 
Toiminta rakentuu seuraavien periaatteiden pohjalle:
* Vapaaehtoiset lääkärit
* Kuuden tai useamman viikon toimintajaksot
* Palkaton työ, mutta korvaus matkoista, päiväraha ja vakuutus
* Lääkärit osallistuvat sairaalan työhön käytettävissä olevilla välineillä ja opettavat ammattialaansa"


We have had bussy days now with our comming plans to work in Tanzania. The paper work for getting all permissions, visas etc has started in Margh 2012. The way to Tanzania this time is the Rotary organization, Finland. The organisation sends my husband, I shall follow and do volontary work as well. It is september now and we are still waiting.

ROTARY DOCTOR BANK of FINLAND (RDBF)
A Multi- district organization of Rotary Finland r.a.
The Rotary Doctor Bank of Finland was originally founded in 1999 with the objective of supporting the medical services in Tanzania, based on voluntary doctors who would work in close co-operation with their counterparts in Tanzania. The model originated from Sweden where a similar organization had been in existence since 1988, and mainly active in Kenya and several other African nations.
The Rotary Doctor Bank of Finland (RBDF) has been operating in Tanzania since 2002 with strong economic support from the Finnish Government and in particular from the funding that is given to civic organization working to help in developing countries. Tanzania is one of the most important recipients of foreign aid from Finland and been so for more than 45 years.
In the beginning the number of Medical Doctors and Dentist was modest but the numbers have slowly increased and last year (2009) a total of twenty doctor where sent out and they served in the Evangelic Lutheran Hospitals of Ilembula, Itete, Marangu, Matema, Ndolage, and Haydom.
Totally the doctors helped for 1366 days corresponding to a permanent presence of some six doctors all year round.
The Doctors and Dentists are volunteers.
The Medical Doctors and Dentists are volunteers and do not receive any monetary compensation for the time that they serve in Tanzania.
