We have had nice long weekends in the cottage lately. Husband has free fridays so we can enjoy three days working in the woods and heating the sauna every evening. Now we have started the swimming season. The water is not warm yet, only +9 degrees, but it is enough for us. The girls ( 7 and 8 years) are allso very eager to dip themselves into the water from sauna. It is really fun and tells that the summer is near. There is sooo much to see in the nature: the birds are building their nests, butterflies, flowers, nice view on the lake...
The wood keeps us bussy. We had a woodcutter and he cut much wood down. Now the husband is taking the branches off an we have to carry them from the woods. After that is the time to cut the trees in small pieces and split them for firewood. It gives us work for the whole summer.
The springstory is endless. Just now the rain has stopped and it is time for me to start the days work with joy.
Yesterday we had a very foggy evening. We could not see the othes side of the lake. Slowly the fog came nearer and nearer until we could see only the pier. There we sat after been in the sauna, staring at the mystic view.

Oh, it sounds so wonderful! I really envy you! I would have liked to rent a cottage by a lake in Finland and just be there a few weeks, but we have to go to Jörgens familys cottage this summer. We weren't there last summer. So maybe next summer ;-)
