Opening new maternity ward

On the 7th of November 2012 the New Maternity Ward has opened its doors! Already in 2010 the construction of the building started but finally this building with six delivery rooms is ready now. As in Haydom Hospital there are yearly between 5.000 and 6.000 deliveries, this new building is of great importance. Until now the deliveries were done in a building that was far to small for this daily average of 17 deliveries: even the gangways were used, and the mothers had to que up in the hall.
